coldfront

took the opportunity to hit the lake tonight for a few hours after work.  Tropical Storm FRED is working through so we had rain for most of the day, and it was light rain as I headed to the lake.

Water Temps:  81.6°F
Water clarity:  stained
Wind:  8-12mph out of northOvercast and rain.  No thunder/lightning

first fish came shallow, shore-side of a milfoil/pondweed mixed clump.  maybe 1.5 FOW.rest of fish came off of wood cover in 3 - 5 foot of water.  action was slow but steady with overcast and rain.  then the clouds started to break up and the bite died for me.

size of fish ranged from 10 inches up to best of day at 20.5 inches.  t-rigged soft plastics once again was my best 'deal'.  tried the small crankbait:  no takers.

best of day.  almost 'grown'.  the eyes have just started to bulge but don't yet have those white rims so often seen on big girls.
