coldfront

out today.  put in at Soddy Creek and worked from there to a little up-lake.
water temps were 84°F.  clarity was good:  slight stain.  3 feet or so of visibility.  milfoil is carpeting bottom, but seems quite a bit off from topping out (midlake zone).
day started clear, no wind.  then got to partly cloudy.  finally a little after noon a really LOUD thunderstorm set up.  Lots of lightning (cloud to ground).  with the rain came the wind.  variable directions.  kept a lot of the wakeboarders and tubers off the water for a bit.

TVA was pulling a little over 30K cfs at Chickamauga dam.

steady action, but I stayed shallow.  electing to stay in pockets away from heavy traffic areas.  got a few to go on t-rigged soft plastics, but best action was with an underspin rigged with keitech fat swing impact.  most of the fish I caught today came on that bait.
seeing quite a bit of schooling activity.  some of it was white bass.  some of it was skipjacks.  LOTS of small bait in the water (1 - 1.5 inches long).  schools of threadfin/shad are setting up; they're all still small too.

with low-light conditions, big mayfly hatch was 'on'.

I love the concept and look of the underspin but I've never been able to get it working for me. Not giving up though.
