Lower White Oak 7/24/21

No Excuses

Spent a few hours on Lower White Oak yesterday. Man they are getting lazy in this heat! We had a really good June worm fishing in the brush piles. Now the thermocline appears to have set up around 10'. That knocks about 80% of my spots out. Still caught a few in the brush. I guess if the thermocline is at 10', it's 12' deep where you are and the brush pile is 4' high they could be suspending right in the top layer of limbs. Seeing lots of fish suspended but I suck at trying to catch them like that. Last weekend they schooled a little but not yesterday. This time of year it's almost always Shaky head and junebug trick worm. Yesterday it was a big Mondo worm.
