Kate and I hit the Afterbay last Monday.  The Afterbay is a warming pool for the water coming out of Lake Oroville so all the cold water does not go directly into the river.  The water level varies between 128' and 135' elevation. There are lots of reeds/tules and weedbeds in the warmer weather.  There are rip rap levees on 2 sides.  Water lever on our day was 133.8 which is higher than I like it, gives the fish too many places to be.  Water temp was 78 just about everywhere.  We had a tough day.  I caught 2 fish off an old roadbed with a Ned rig and then one decent fish punching a weed bed.  We started about 6:30 and quit about noon.
I knew I shoulda re-tied!!

You know here it is 25 years later and I finally know what the After Bay is for... Never knew, just enjoyed fishing it when the club would go there because of all the cover...
