out early.  on water before the sunrise.  showers and thunderstorms in forecast might have limited some of the boat traffic.  slow day for me.  most of the places I intended to fish were covered up when I got there, so went on a 'hunt and peck' mission.  catching was sporadic today for me:  one early on a topwater off a down-current island 'tail' and one late fish off a suspending jerkbait around a caisson.
12 hours today.  almost 20 gallons of gas burned.  2 fish.  Happy for both.  One was what I was looking for.

Air temperatures at 0500:  74°F
Water Temperatures on the Hiwassee arm:  80°F  (later in day, at Watts Bar tailrace temps were 79°F).  that's about 4°F cooler than downlake at Chester Frost area from earlier this week.
Wind was out of SR.  nothing in morning, picked up to maybe 5-6 in afternoon creating a slight chop in some lake segments.
Water clarity:  clear (2-3 feet of visibility)

View as I eased out from the ramp

and again as I was 'winding' my way back to the ramp in the late afternoon.  rain that I did encounter was light and spotty.  there were some much more significant downpours in the area.  didn't get 'in' this one, but it was close enough that I could smell it.

You have such pretty views in your part of the country. I'm jealous of your outside temps right now. Add another 15-20 degrees and throw in some high humidity for  ^-^ and giggles, and you have our current conditions. Its  ~sweat ~sweat ~sun ~sun hot!!

Thank you for sharing your report with us.

lou, I've been in florida plenty of times. your views, especially at sunrise, sunset rival any found anywhere.
couple things to add:1.  cloudy days (which this was) really help accentuate greens and blues.  those trees have a small amount of auto-fluourescence... just have to have the reds/yellows filtered out (by clouds) to get them to show... and
2.  some of this is the way my samsung note 10+ 'reads' colors
after that?  it's about seeing a bit of the 'balance' of the image...

Our views do kick ass.  ;) My wife makes me a calendar, in which she takes my top 12 pics of the year. Sometimes I catch myself asking "who took that picture" and my wife says "dumb ^-^ that's one of yours!!  ~roflmao
