Lake Hamilton sure is pretty! 30 April 2021

Went up to Hot Springs for an anniversary getaway and had a chance to fish Hamilton some Friday evening and Sat morning with Glover! So cool to see mountains while fishing!! We launched from some fish hatchery ramp and just started fishing points. Boat could be in 50' and it would be an easy cast to shore. Lots and lots of rocks there so I tried cranking for a while and he was throwing all sorts of stuff. Saw some small males cruising the shoreline and maybe 1 or 2 on a bed but those beds don't look like they do here in LA. I think we had 15-8 bass or so between the 2 trips and I don't know the length limit so not sure total keepers. Did have 1 nice 4ish lber on a topwater walking bait! She hit in maybe 6" of water on a big point. Think it was my brand new hat that she needed a closer look at lol!! Water temps were mid 60s so I'm guessing the spawn is going on/happening any day now.

Also we went to a tackle shop called "Trader Bill's" and WOW they have a TON of fishing stuff!! Def worth stopping in if you are passing thru.
