From the bank

I fish from the bank, usually on a small 36 acre impoundment close to the house that is a "State Trophy" lake. They stock it with trout, largemouth bass, and tiger muskie. I pulled my PB a couple years ago, 8lbs. On Mother's Day after a couple <1lbers I hooked into this 5lb 1oz bass on a little jig I made up with a 1/16th oz weedless jig head. It made me happy and I wanted to share.

Thanks everyone! I was out there on Saturday before Mother's Day fishing the same spot. I kept getting bit by what I thought was something little just pecking at my jig. Another gentleman I see out there often came by with his fly rig and threw a bug in there, but didn't get a bite. I went back there Sunday and got the same little bite. This time I was able to set the hook. weird how little fish hit like they're bigger and big fish feel like little ones sometimes.
