Sixpack

I launch and load mine alone all the time unless I'm taking someone fishing who can back up a trailer. Even if the GF and I go for an evening boat ride she'll hold the rope on the dock like she's doing something....

An update after more than 12 months of use.

My Z-Launch snapped on Saturday afternoon when launching. The connection between the elastic and the clip where I connect to the the bow eyelet gave out. Luckily there was no wind and there was another boat in the area to help me out.
And, I have already passed the 12 month warranty period by a few weeks  ~b~ ~b~

Warranty period or not, I'd contact the company. There's lots of scenarios where the tether snapping could have resulted in damage to your boat or someone else's.

i launch by myself all the time.  I do have the z-launch.  But what i end up doing is leaving the main "seat belt" material that you crank your boat up with attached.  About 15 crank handles to loosen enough and back down slowly.  Boat stays attached and then its a matter or climbing up in and unhooking.

to me, it works just as good.  Most of the ramps here are pretty shallow so not sure how a super steep ramp might work or not.

I don't like the EZ loader type bungee lines because the boat may sling shot back to the concrete ramp and damage the hull.

I have a bow line that is a little over 5' longer than the boat. A hook is on one end and i fasten it to the bow eye on the boat. The other end has a loop spliced in it that I fasten to the winch strap hook on the trailer. I back up slowly until the boat inches off the trailer. I then pull forward and stop when the line is within reach. I easily walk the boat and tie it to the dock.
