Now that folks mind is being overtaken with thoughts of big green and brown fish one of the things that folks like is soft supple plastics, not the stiff ones we find at times. One of the easiest ways to get them is to lay a bag of what you're using on the deck of the boat and let the sun beat down on them. The heat softens up the baits giving them more action. Leave them in the bag while doing this you'll have a rather large mess to clean up.
