Got out Sunday for half day on way to Chautauqua.
Good news:  the fish were on for us.  Others around didn't seem as lucky.
Bad news: my "new" battery was dead. So pics no weights.
We ventured out to the inside of the outside breakway. . Was wavy.
Tried a bit of everything but the 2.8 Keitech waste ticket.
Went back today but the bite wasn't as hot though my buddy got his pb.
Here's a few of our best

Sorry to hear about your battery problems.  Is there a drain on the system or just a shitty battery?  You did manage to find some nice brownies.

HiG, it was mostly my fault. I grabbed a battery from the house. I did the old 9v, touch to my tongue, test. But it was obviously older and not as strong as the Brecknell scale required.
Bought a new battery and it worked great the rest of the trip.
We did get in to some.  I'll post more soon

Went back for a second day and the wind was up and the bite was down.  My buddy did catch his first 5 lb fish ever so that was nice for him.  They were more interested in a hair jig bounced or swam along the bottom, more than my keitech it seemed.

My trip there is usually a week later. The fish outside the breakwall are light; on the bank and around the marina piling darker. Amazing how they blend.
