So this is kinda' my dream reel. I LOVE the all chrome finish. Just wondering the pros/cons of this reel and if there are problems with this particular model I should be wary of as I would be buying it used from Japan. I can get a pretty decent deal on what looks to be an excellent condition reel from the pics but without seeing/holding it it's hard to know if there's a problem which is why I'm asking if this model has any known problems that I should be on the lookout for?
The only stupid question is the one you don't ask!

It's Shimano's flagship reel. What issues do you think it would have?
3rd place 2019 iBass - Cool Casters
2nd place 2019 iBass - Team Tournament

Any reel that hasn't been maintained is likely to have bearing problems. That said, there are no none gear or frame  issues with this real, but the pinion gear bearing doesn't do well with abuse. The pinion gear bearing is open to the atmosphere when the spool is removed. This does two things, one it makes it easy to oil, but if the spool is loose and it's raining hard then moisture can get in on the bearing.

Maintenance is important with any reel. I'd say take the chance. At worst you might have to put a bearing or two in it. Does the seller have ratings from other customers?
