This Sunday finds us at Cross Lake out of the public launch on S. Lakeshore.  Be sure to get your sticker!

We'll launch at safe light after 6:10am with weigh-in at 3:00pm. Weather is currently calling for 40° at launch warming to 66° at weigh-in with 5-10mph winds out of the SE.

Hope  to see everyone there!

They just closed cross lake due to high water, was there yesterday and water was about 1 1/2 feet below dock. They have flood gates open so it should go down enought to open by sunday. Hope i did not buy a sticker with no use

Closed it at 172'? Seems a little early but who knows. Rest of the week looks good for sun and not much chance for rain besides Friday so hopefully y'all are good to go.

Folks,

As you have seen in the news and seen in the comments, Cross Lake is currently closed.  We are tracking this closely, Steve called in and was told the gates are open and the lake should be back open in 24-48 hours.  We will keep you up-to-date.  If the lake will not be open, we will follow the safety lake protocol in the rules and get the information out as soon as possible.

Respectfully, Chip

Cross Lake Patrol just told me the lake is at 172.03 and need to be below flood stage at 172.00.   The officer I spoke with thinks they may open the lake around noon today.

I'm going to call them this afternoon to ensure that they're good to go for Sunday

You all thought the fish were shallow before... At 172 there are places they will go that you have to tie your lure to and arrow and shoot it between the trees to get to them...

You all should be in for a smack down ~c~
