What has happened with the Evinrude dealer network.  It seems like many if not most long time dealers are evinrude dealers no more.  In my area there is only 1 and it is 100 miles away.  When looking to repower it was easy to find a dealer close by to even provide a quote.  Is this a nationwide thing or is it just in certain areas of the country.  Also why are long term dealers leaving.

Two major dealers have left Evinrude for Yamaha in the last few years. I still have a great guy locally that specializes in Johnson and Evinrude, he has been doing it longer than I've been alive so it won't be long till he's out of business.

We have that same issue where I live at also.  We have (3) marine dealerships in our area and none are Johnson / Evinrude Dealerships.  There are dealerships up in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area and down in Austin if you want to make that drive.
