My wife told me she ordered me a Ike Delay Rod by Abu Garcia. I was wondering if this is a good rod for bank fishing. My wife is hoping my back is better soon and wants to get me out of the house.
A bad day fishing is better then a good day at work. Take a kid fishing

I don't know anything about the rods but the write up on ABU's site makes sense. I think I've seen ABU rods in stores like Academy Sports, maybe you can get your hands on one to see how it feels.

My local tackle store had some last year. I think it was a older model than those shown on TW. They were purple. Just played with the 7'10" Med Hvy a few minutes it felt like a decent cranking rod. Kind a hard to tell in the store vs with a big crank hanging off it in the lake. They only had the bigger ones left when I saw them on clearance.

I believe the delay series is designed for moving baits like crankbaits, jerkbaits , chatterbaits ect.
depending on the model.. I'm sure it's a decent rod.

I own one of the Ike rods from back when they first got released a few years ago (7'2" MH). It fishes heavier than its rated power (more of a H power) but it's a fine rod for the money.

As mentioned already, the Delay rods are a slower action rod meant for moving baits. I'm sure you'll love it for those applications.
