I have a little secret pond that I found on google maps that I usually fish once a year. It's a great little honey hole and has produced 2 big fish both on the frog over the years. It was great because it was in the woods away from the public eye. Unfortunately, a new road is going in right by the pond and the whole world will soon  discover it! I plan on taking a few bank fishing trips before it's discovered. Stand by for a frog pic or two (hopefully).

That's too bad. Not many "secret"spots left in our neck of the woods anymore. Hopefully you can catch a couple more beauties out of there soon.

Locked and loaded. Hoping for one more bigun before the pond is discovered by all. I'm armed with a Booyah Pad Crasher frog  and also some old school gold pepper Sluggos to imitate wild shiners that are plentiful in the pond.

Just got back. The area has changed some since the last time that I've fished it about a year ago. The north side of the pond used to drain into a ditch that looks like it's been filled in a hundred yards or so from the pond. Progress I guess.

The bite was certainly off. I've always done really well on a frog but not today. I started with a Spro Bronze Eye Jr. frog and couldn't get a sniff. I switched up to a Sluggo and caught a 2 and 3 pounder. Big fish of the day was about a 3 1/2 caught on Berkley Choppo. What a hit! No fish pics because I was wading. The water was up from all the rain and dirty. Here's a pick of the pond. 3 fish total for 2 hours.
