Bow Mounting Electronics

Mounting a Hook2 Reveal 7 on the bow.  Like some ideas on how to raise it off the deck.   Thanks!

All I can say is there are many ways to do this. Wide variety of ram mounts from simple to comple function to just a simple bracket to raise the product a couple inches.  Just how much to you want to raise it?

With help from a friend I made this bracket and had it powder coated. It's just 2" wide aluminum purchased from Tractor Supply. A few measurements, a few marks, and a big vise, we bent, shaped, and drilled. Then I dropped it off to be powder coated. I don't remember my total cost but it was around $20-25. Actually, we made two and I sold one to someone here for half of my cost.

Here's my Helix 7 on a Ram mount I bought from from their website.  It's a "B" size with a 6" arm and rock solid in rough water. Moving everything forward made the front deck feel huge.





If you don't have pieces leftover, you didn't put it back together right...

There are several choices now.

Ram, Hulk, and others.

Mine mounts Above and in Front of the TM. I like it that way. I can see it no matter where I am on the deck and it's not in the way of the TM when pulling back up OR me when I'm climbing in over the front when launching.

The pics I had were done through the computer. I'll take some new pics next time out and get the brand name.

Mine is mounted like Princton_Man's, but I used a store bought version, and can't remember what the brand is     but there's quite a few on the market.

I do believe that TH Marine has a product like Princeton Man.  Can't remember its name but it is on their website.

As I remember, I got mine from a smaller company, but you are right, T&H does sell at least one option.

Thanks to all.  Went with the Ram mount.  May do something later like Princeton-_Man in combination with the Ram to raise it a few more inches.
