With the local state parks open again, I booked the first available afternoon at my nearest one with a good bassin' lake. That was today. Houston's lovely weather prognosticator told me what I wanted to hear.

So I threw my float tube and fly rod into my truck and spent a peaceful afternoon catching these with only one other person (in a kayak) on the lake.

Good to get back out again. Stay safe and be well!

Very nice  ~c~

Float tubing is very popular here in Korea and I have always wanted to give it a try, but so far have not done so.

It's bar none the most relaxing and enjoyable way to fish. Never seen anyone here in Texas doing it, but back in Wyoming, it was super common. Nothing like kicking along, throwing cards, and getting spun around by good bass. I LOVE IT!

I've got a couple of canals in the heart of the everglades you would have a ball in that float tube.  It would be fun until the first 12 footer decides you look like an easy meal.  Can't do that stuff down here. :-*

Fortunately this lake doesn't have gators. But there's plenty of these to make a fun day with the fly rod.

Never know what's going to try to wrap it's lips around your bugger!
