here's a study apparently ongoing at Toledo Bend - and has not gone well.  fascinating!

Shame they had that setback. I wasn't aware anyone was doing these tracking studies currently. John Hope's findings and research fascinates me

I fished the Bend 4 years straight. So long ago that lanes hadn't yet been marked. Fortunately, we used big aluminum guide boats. By week's end, they were heavily dented. Each year we spent a week looking for trophy bass. So, 4 anglers fished pre spawn for 4 weeks with 1  semi trophy of 6 pounds caught. I haven't returned to the lake since. The study makes perfect sense to me.
