don't forget high water now.  continued rain.  might/might not settle down before the classic.
March 6-8.  22 days away.  lots can still happen.

water temps might be somewhere between 50°F and 55°F.  STrong pre-spawn.

how close will these conditions match to that George Cochran tournament?  remember the jerkbait?

Is Major League Fishing the cause of the big names not fishing in the Classic this year?  Have all the studs left BASS?

there are some studs in the the Classic.  just new names.

Gustafson.  the Johnson brothers.  Zaldain has been on a role.
bunch of others.

know it's hard to not confuse historical sticks with talent.

I agree with Coldfront that there are a lot of new studs, great bass catching talent, but yes other organizations promised bigger money and a lot of the names were were used to IKE KVD and the likes did move.

But just because they aren't fishing B.A.S.S. anymore, doesn't mean the competition isn't brutal. These anglers know what they are doing and have the tools to do it.

sorry guys....didn't mean it like that.  I just was wondering where all the recognizable names have moved to.  Thought they would still fish both and not move exclusively.  Yes, I do recognize a few names on the list and know these guys are real good to be fishing in the Classic.  Didn't mean anything to take away from these fellows!

you're fine.  i was reviewing my response and wondering if it came of a bit 'sharp' myself.

ran across this youtube video.  interesting timing given the tournament.

and the guy I always overlook?  Paul Meuller.  watch that guy!

Gotta love some Gerald Swindle!  I bet that would be a fun day of fishing listening to that guy cut up all day!
