Explaining the Kaden Series.  Guys, I have issues. When a new material comes out, I must play with it. Can't help myself. Along with this, my factory owner had a new design he wanted to play with. So we started messing around. When I think something is better, the fisherman in me has to have it. Probably sounds corny but it's true. I get myself in a bind at times and the Kaden Series is prime example. Where this rod will fall into the line up, is still unknown. If it's as good as I think it is, I'll fit it in somewhere. This rod may change too, it depends on the feed back. Maybe it'll need full handles, maybe different guides or reelseats, maybe it needs to be pink :)  I've never built a series and asked for feedback from our customers. I'm anxious to see how it works. Please send comments and ideas to   This address will be active in a few days. I'll make a post when it's active. Thanks in advance for the info and help.  I'll really be looking at it hard. THX!!!

For me as a casual angler this is quite a experience as well. This is something those on the inside of the industry are typically making all the suggestions. Should be fun to test and give feedback on these.

Have you fished with these at all? If so where do you currently feel they fall in the lineup? Are they faster than the Sierras?

Is there any chance you could share some of the details about what reelseats, or handle material was used?

Just picking your brain.  lo

Issues? I should have such issues.  lo  I think all anglers have issues, just different sets depending.  ;)

Thanks for opening this up to the average Joe angler for input. I've worked with several different companies over the years and I only recall one other time where this happened. Some may see it as a risky move on your part but I disagree with that.

For those of us that understand the testing stage of product development we know that things aren't set in stone at this point. Speaking for myself, I trust that when the dust settles and you settle on a final design it will be a great rod.

So please don't ever go to therapy for your "issues".  lo

I'm excited to see what Dobyns will be bringing in the years to come.

Gary if these rods are like the other rods sold buy you then they will be a delight to use!  I can't wait till Monday to see the ones I have on the way.  I am really glad you have given us as customers the chance to test these rods out.  Hopefully you will get the answers you are looking for about them!

I wasnt able to snag one for myself in time and I know I'm a new angler and new around the forum but your products are amazing Mr. Dobyns. Your fine company has helped me when I broke my first ever fishing rod. If this Kaden series is a Dobyns product I have full faith it'll be great! Thank you for the opportunity of the Kaden series sir and I plan on picking up another Fury soon!
