I have a couple of cheap old Powell Diesel 755CB rods I use for some of cranks that run that deep. They work but I am sure there are better out there.

I have a Falcon Lowrider XD Cranker LFC-6-179 on the way for bigger cranks. Ive heard it can handle some mid depth cranks like you mention pretty good as well. Hope to have it next week and I hope the weather permits me to try it out.  lo

I use the 735cb glass only because I have not bought a 764cb.

The Champion 765cb and a DT10 are a match made in heaven.

The DT6 and DT10 are my most thrown crank baits and this is the best rod I've ever found for cranks like a DT10.

I'll chime in, not as a dobyns user, but as a user of an 'off-brand' that had 'similar hands' heavily involved in it's design/execution.

I have a 755cb (off-brand) that slings DT10's and DLN's like a charm.  moving up to heavier cranks, the 765 handles the heavier baits better.

I like longer rods.  I like fast actions.  and I like rods that are versatile.

spent yesterday tossing a 3/8 oz jig to smallmouths on the 755cb and having a ball.  on 10lb flouro.  brought my PB LMB over the side of the boat on this rod, line and a t-rigged lizard.

also throw my frogs on the 765, but change out to braided line.

great rods that shouldn't necessarily be pigeon-holed for just ONE application.

Champion 764CB. I can't say enough as to how good this rod fishes. It's pretty special.
