As I mentioned on my Swimbait adventure thread, my Bullshads arrived.  This 4" Slow Sinking Gizzard Bull Shad is one tantalizing morsel of a lure when it swims. I had an hour to burn earlier today, and the timing of this lure's delivery with that of an incoming cold front, had me bolting to my neighborhood park to fish.

To make this post short, despite the in coming front, I coaxed 0 bass to bite. Not even one follower. But I got to fish with this lure for a solid hour. Regardless how fast I retrieved this bull shad, it swam true and and every joint moved fluidly. I'm looking forward to fish this lure next week when I fish the swamp.  :) At 3/4oz this little swim bait can be launched a good distance. The slow sink rate allows you to count down the lure to your desired depth very easily. Once I catch a few bass on this lure, I will report back and fill you guys in on the rest of my thoughts on this bull shad.

The Bull Shads are known as great swim baits, so don't give up on it. Did you buy any of the bigger sizes?

I won this one a couple months ago off TackleJunkies YouTube channel. It looks very similar to yours. I still haven't taking it out of the box but it looks decent. Its a .5oz Slow Sink as well. Hope yours does good maybe it will get me motivated to throw mine.

Catch co. teamed up with Mike Bucca and produced that 3.75" bullshad.

Yeah I quickly researched it back when I got it. CatchCo name is like me reading China.  lo And I really dont know who Mike Bucca is. Other than apparently he won some fishing tournaments at some time. So any guess if the bait is worth .02 ?

Mike Bucca is the owner Bull Shad. Pretty well known in the world of Swimbaits. Quality swimbaits can be pretty expensive, so Catch Co and Mike Bucca teamed up and made a introductory swimbait at an introductory price point. From what I have seen, its a fish catcher.

Cool Thanks.
I took it out last night the hooks look like Eagle stuff but they are sticky sharp. And the colors on the bait look nice but don't look real durable. Time will tell Ill give it a shot one day.
