It appears that the motor is finally running as it should.  Only time will tell but here is the latest things that have been shotgun swapped in my motor this last go around.

Rebuild all 6 Carbs

Replace all 6 chamber floats

Install new Cranking Battery

Remove and clean fuel pump

Replace high speed jets in all carbs

Replace Encoder

Replace Optical sensor

New Head Gasket on Starboard side

Prior to this the following work was completed

Replace entire Fuel line system including connectors

Replace Fuel/Water Seperator

Replace all Spark Plugs

Check all reed valves

All of this is on top of the new power head replaced 3 years ago

The on water test this morning was excellent.  Plenty of power and plenty of RPMs.  WOT at 5800

Power was smooth and solid from idle through WOT with no carb overload when powering down to idle.

This has been a long and frustrating deal and I really hope this motor is finally right wish me luck.

I do wish you luck, it can be a bear getting these things set up.

TX the motor is all well and running like a new one.  I just hope it stays that way.  If it isn't one thing it is another.

The main culprit was the encoder that had developed a crack once replace all is good.  Had a lot of carb work done and discovered that along the way someone had installed the incorrect high speed jets so those got changed out as well along with new bowls and gaskets.  They we found out the head gasket had blown on the starboard side so that was also replaced.  Don't ya just love old motors.
