Hey all, looking at Dobyns Sierra SA 702SF and 703SF. I'll primarily be using this for jigworm and shakey head on weedlines and in weeds. I'll probably use it for neko rigs as well. Which rod would you guys suggest?

Thanks

Lew

I have the SA703sf and it is exactly what you are looking for. Plenty of backbone with enough tip to throw those lures.

Lew I would think the 703 would be more versitle for the tasks you describe.  FYI, If you call Dobyns, they have refurbished rods with a full warranty that can save you a bunch of money.  Also Gary Dobyns is a member here and you can communicate with him via posts in the Dobyns Rod Forum.   I am sure others will be along today to add their opinions to your question.  Good luck finding the right rod for your needs.

Is the rod pretty sensitive? Could i get away with 1/8oz shakeyheads as well? I primarily throw 1/8 and 3/16oz.

Yes on both accounts. Sierra series is a whole lot better than its price range. I use straight flouro on mine and have no problem knowing what my bait is doing.
