I was wondering if someone has ever had to replace the hoses going to and from their livewell?  I am thinking my hoses are leaking into the hull of my boat.  Want to change them this winter, and was wondering how hard it is to get to them and change them?

I haven't but will be looking at them tomorrow. I am taking on water somewhere and since it's a 2009 PT190 might as well start there! Talked to the Bass Pro guys and they use Gatorade or koolaid and pour it in the livewell and look for any colored water coming out places. Will try to post some pics as I know it will be a big PITA to get to those lines!!

** after looking down the forum there are several other posts about "leaking" trackers so may want to read those and see what was the fix.

Rudy's right. It's worth pinning it down if you can before going through the trouble of replacing the plumbing.

Did you figure anything out?  Just wondering.

I was taking water into the bilge because of livewell plumbing issues.  I found several clamps and connections that were loose.  I found a tee that was always loose.  I finally disassembled it and found that one connection that had a crease in it.  Never seen that before!  Just for giggles, I reassembled it, filled the livewell and put it through its paces.  Sure enough it leaked water.  Further testing showed that if the boat was running down the lake that's the location dumping water in the bilge.  Replaced the tee, problem went away.

My boat is a 2007 so figured they could be dry rotted or like you found some stuff loose, or fittings worn out!

Hey. Sorry got caught up in doing all the stuff and forgot to reply...  I removed my batteries to gain better access and inspected all the lines that I could see/feel. I do have a slight crease in one line just didn't want to make the turn(replaced it a few years ago) but that didn't leak. I plugged the back of the boat(livewell water dump) and filled up with red Gatorade. Ran recirc thru back and forth and looked all over for red fluid. Never saw anything that way. I wasnt able to pull water into the boat using the aerator in the garage so I'll try that this weekend and look for water. Will also plug my livewell dump and see if that prevents any leaks as well(though it shouldn't since the Gatorade didn't leak out). I also sprayed a bedliner sealant type stuff(clear not black) all up and down the front strap that goes down the hill along the bow for a few feet. Was where the crack was and maybe spraying this flexible stuff into and along the whole strap will help too. Good luck!!
