Hey guys, I am going to tow my "new" Pro Team 175 with a 50 hp Merc (2-stroke) 400 miles. The single axle trailer has Triangle TR643 tires (which I see are recalled) They look like new. They are 175/80R-13. Says on the tire "inflate to 30 lbs." That doesn't look, or seem like enough.
Any advice?

I did a quick Google search and I'm seeing 80lb max, which is consistent with trailer tires. If in doubt, a quick call to the dealership will clear up any doubts. Safe travels.

Thanks Bassin! I had a heck of a time finding the "inflate to......." on the tire. It was small, and nearly under the wheel cover. MAYBE it reads 80, not 30. Back to it - with a magnifying glass and flashlight!

If you don't think that's enough then call the dealer or Tracker Marine. I would suggest going with what the tire says if you don't get any other info.

Like Bassinlou, many trailer tires have quite a bit more but your rig really isn't that heavy, which is an advantage to the towing.

Double check the number, 30 sounds way too low, I've not seen a light trailer tire that was less than 50 PSI max and with that light of a boat you'll want it close to max. When you stop for gas the first thing you should do is touch the tire and hub, neither should hot, warm is ok but not hot.

Yup - a better look in better light shows "max load 1320 lbs at 50 lbs air pressure." NOT 30!

you mentioned a tire recall... and this may be a moot point by now but I just replaced two 175/80R 13 load range C (1360) speed rating L/75mph with pre-mounted 185/80R 13 load range D (1610) speed rating M/81mph on black rims, delivered for $152 on Walmart.com  I still have plenty of fender clearance with the 185's
