last couple days hit a few local waters.  staying OFF Chickamauga as the MLF boys play.  plus today is Saturday, so in addition to those guys, normal couple local TXTs going off.  and all the outstate tags.

so went hunting fish on quieter waters.  found the quiet.  found a few fish.

Thursday, Parksville:  pretty high mountain Cherokee forest lake.  day started calm.  then the wind came up.  for a couple hours, in the middle of a conifer forest during pollination season, it was amazing with all the pollen in the air!  very hazy.  tough to not rub the eyes, but know enough not to 'start that'.

took one fish photo.  spots are in my opinion, one of the prettiest fish out there that doesn't rely on reds, oranges.  no show ing off.  the big fish of the trip was an honest 3 pounder, maybe heavier.  if I'd have caught 5 of these dudes, I'd have been flat 'wore out'.  mean sons of guns.   ;)

then headed down on the river (nickajack).  releasing water at roughly 45K.  key seemed to be pitching a smallie beaver (green pumpkin all-around great little bluegill imitator) into current breaks.  best fish was about 20 inches.  good solid day on the river.  no giants.  but this one was welcome.

Good stuff Coldfront appreciate the report bud.

Spotted bass are a blast to catch. I guess they all have their strengths but I do miss catching big 3-4 pound spots. Thanks for the report ~c~
