Went this morning with Roberto. We ran out to MM41 and ran west to the weir area. Started with top water and no takers. Roberto broke the ice with his Tokyo Rig. He caught two more flipping the rock wall on the road side. I hooked one on a fluke and got the skunk out of the boat. The bite was steady but slow methodical steady.

We hit a few spots where two or three would be boated and then slow again.
We ran back east and fished the south canal all the way to the weir. For me looking for boulders was key. A bunch of my fish were caught right at the base of any shore boulder. We had a great time, but ran into a A Hole on the water. The same two guys that couldn't load the boat on the trailer when I went with Rick. As we prepped our boat to use the ramp, they cut past us and then did all their prep at the ramp blocking it. I wouldn't care if they were ready when they pulled up, but no, had to prep the boat while we waited. It kind of pissed me off, until I saw he left their headlights on after parking

, and were going to be real pissed when they came back. I'm still smiling over this!

We finished with 25 bass, a 19", two 18", a 17, and a few tweeners! I know I had a good time, and Roberto will add his version, and some pics of the day. Thanks for reading!

They got us twice in two weeks, last week cut us and then couldn't get the boat back on the trailer. He's on his own on that one. Lights were still on when we left at noon, but much dimmer!

Thanks again for the invite George. I wasn't expecting much in the day, just playing around and relaxing. Like George said, no takers on top water (frog-sorry Lou

) so I just played with a Uvibe on a Tokyo rig. I actually got some decent ones with it

As 11 am approached it was super tough to get anything to bite. I changed to a beaver type plastic trying to flip to any structure. I came across a thick mat and thought why not. I had a tick as the bait fell thru and thought it was just the vegetation. As I pulled back I realized it was a fish. The bass made tons of splashing as she threw my hook. It wouldn't have been so disappointing if I didn't see the massive head out of the water.
George turned around at that moment to see me in awe of the big one that got away

The fishing was good but all the inconsiderate stuff we saw today was unbelievable

Anyways, still had fun
