I want to give a fishing report,  but I did not prepare very well and didn't take any pictures.

Friday,  March 22 we pre-fished and Saturday the 23rd,  we fished a tournament with a whopping 4 boats.  This was the first time I had ever seen the lake, so I had to start searching.

Friday, March 22:
Conditions:  Very cool starting out at about 36 degrees,  but the day was sunny with Bluebird skies and temps rose to about 58 by the end of the day.   The wind went from 4 mph early to 18 to 20 mph late afternoon.  It was a tough day to be on the lake.

Water temps were 55 degrees when we started and 58 when we left.

I boated one fish all day Friday and he was caught in 5 foot of water on a jerk bait.  We fished points,  secondary points, rip rap and rock banks, ledges, etc. but could not buy a fish.

Saturday, March 23rd:
Saturday was a little better,  starting out cool at 38 degrees,  but warming up to 66 degrees late in the day.  The wind was not bad all day and the sun was shining.

Water temps started out at 55 and was at 59 when we left at 3 pm.

We fished shallow wind blown primary points most of the day and did OK.  We boated 8 fish with the best five weighing in at a little over 8 pounds.  Nothing to brag about,  but in comparison to Friday,  it was much better.  We fished the back ends of some shallow coves,  but did not do anything there.  Everything we had came off of one long shallow rocky point.  The fish were on top of the point early and moved off to the sides as the sun rose during the day.  Everything that we caught that day was on either a texas rigged worm or a texas rigged creature bait.

A little more information that I learned the hard way.  The boat that beat us had 12 pounds and they caught about 20 fish Saturday.  All of what they caught came from the very backs of coves.  All of their fish came from two foot of water or less and they all came off of shakey heads or texas rigged worms.

I will try to do a little better in preparing for my next report.

Pictures are very cool but not necessary, thank you for the great lake information.

I was lucky enough to fish Murray in a championship for ABA a few years back, the wind can make the main part miserable...

With the water warming, stay shallow and you'll learn a lot about it quickly.
