Bought a brand new ultrex and I forgot to zip tie everything snug. 3 hours into the maiden voyage I stopped getting a transducer reading. Didn't take long to find the problem. The US2 cord coming off the head was cut clean looks like a new cord runs about $35. At least with Amazon Prime it'll get here tomorrow

It happens. Easy to replace and $35 is a  cheap lesson.

That's an honest mistake..  I thought you were going to say something like a water snake slithered its way in the boat while you were fishing and you shot it, sinking your boat in the middle of a 1000 acre lake    lo

I hope you haven't bought the replacement cable yet. I had a similar issue in the below thread and bought a replacement cable for $19 from fish307_dot_com

Already bought it.  Couldn't pass up 1 day delivery even if it meant a few extra bucks

Ok cool. The good news is it is a five minute job to replace the cable, very easy.

Ouch!  I hate when I do things like that.  At least it was a cheap fix!  Could have been worse like you forgot to tighten the bolts attaching it to the boat and the whole thing went in!

I've repaired a cable or 2 before I got that idiot thing out of my head.
