I have a Ragin Cajun and the storage lid is a little different then the ones on other boats...as seen in the Cooks Storage pictures.  Below is a picture:

Do you guys think the Cooks Storage System will still work?  There is really no place to mount it except on that piece of sheet metal there in the middle.

If I am not mistaken, the instructions include mounting for your type of lid. The instructions are also on their website.

Mount them right to that sheet metal with the little screws and it will work fine :-*

I just went to the site and it looks like a pretty cool system.  But I could only see spinnerbaits, buzzbaits and bags of soft plastics hanging.

Does anyone have this system and does it work with crankbaits?

I keep a few cranks on mine and have no problems, I try to put the backs of the baits together and then skip a hole and do the same. Don't know why I do that really because I have not had a problem with them tangling what so every :-* Works great for rattle traps too ;)

I actually used some 3M double sided tape. They haven't budged in over a year!

Steve if your storage is full of stuff or if you have hand towels or plastic bags then the crankbaits can hang up in something in the compartment.  Now the same could be said with anything you hang off Cooks Tackle system but you just need to make sure there is plenty of space before you close the lids.  I hang Bandits and traps off mine all the time and never had an issue other them once I put a BPS bag with fishing stuff in it, into the storage area & ran around the lake.  When I opened the lid I had the bag stuck in like 5 baits.  lo  So I don't do that anymore   :)

I also have a lid like yours and mounted one system on a smaller deck lid with one piece above the support section and one right below so it gives me two lines to hang stuff off of.  On my larger lids I just used a small bit and made a pilot hole with the drill right into the support section and ran the two tackle systems together in one line.

I wish you the best of luck,  I know I enjoy my Cooks Tackle System it has hepled keep everything with-in close reach without cluttering up my deck.

Well then, it certainly appears that I'll have to investigate this product more.  If anything can help me keep my boat organized, it'll be worth it!   :help:
