Which ones do you guys like the most? Any specific color recommendations. Chatter bait flashback minis look neat.

I hear great things about the Zman Jackhammer but I can't bring myself to pay that much

NuTech Elite Blade and Crazy Jig and Crazy Blitz Football Jig. I have several other brands but these are the ones I prefer. Basic colors like white and green pumkin/blue cover most situations for me but I also like the bluegill and Missouri Craw too.

I forgot to mention color combo. I am in the camp of "match the hatch". Tying to mimic shallow bluegill? Greens and blues with taller trailers. Trying to mimic shad? White/silver with swim tail. This is all just my opinion and may be worthless

Thanks guys

I like the Zman Jackhammer chatterbait. I use it with a Zako trailer in the green pumpkin color which is a great universal color for all conditions. For colors you can't go wrong with the basic colors, white, black and blue and green pumpkin or some variation of those colors.

Now those are some good tips, got any more?  I've not though about the lures set ups as you described them, making the trailers taller or use a swim tail to mimic a prey item.

I'm a picture person, do you happen to have any pics of said setups?

Also, you should submitted that to the tips section.

Here's (3) different KaRue ViberShocks Bleeding Shad I use here.  The skirts aren't the originals as I've worn them off.

The top bait the Skirt has several longer strands that make it look like a trailer.  The bottom two are still a Bleeding Shad pattern with a little modifications made.  Sometimes I'll add a curly tail grub or a split tail grub to add a little more action to them.  When I'm fishing these baits the trailer will be a shad color'd one.

Ive just been throwing the Z-Man Original ChatterBait in 1/2 and 5/8 oz.. Usually white but I have a couple other colors.

I am done with them. I have bought 3 and lost 2 due to getting hung up on boats and trees. I am not a big fan of them. I have had my hits on rattle traps, buzz and spinner baits.
A bad day of fishing is a better day at work.

I use the original ZMans. I have heard great things about the Jackhammer but there is no way I'm spending $12 to 15.00 on a chatterbait.
Mostly in the white or silver colors and I use a Reactions Innovations Skinny Dipper swimbait as a trailer a lot. My best production with them is throwing them through openings and over the top of submerged grass beds.

Zmann and karu vibrashock. Chartreuse/white or black/blue. I love ripping them through weeds in summer when weeds get to certain heights and areas on a few local lakes, and early in year when water temps hit about 50 degrees. Usually late April until early to mid June I don't catch many on it.
Fishing Is not an escape  from life, but often a deeper immersion into it.

Almost all of the water I fish is pretty stained, to down right dirty water. Black and blue is a staple in my tackle box. Luckily bluegill are the most common forage, and any bait that mimics them works wonders.

I have zero shad in my lakes, but a very bright white with sparkly whatever seems to work well in the cleaner portion of my muddy lakes.
