Zippy Duck and I fished the BBT this past weekend. Launching out of SM State Park, we faced changing conditions shifting patterns all weekend. About the only condition that remained constant was the wind. While the direction shifted, it remained steady 15-20 mph all weekend. Surface temps started out 53-54 in most areas and by Sunday we were seeing 57-58 in some areas. Water was mostly clear with stain to murky areas from the wind churned waters on the points and back sections of coves. Things should be picking up the next couple weeks.

Leave the Alabama rigs at home.

Thanks for the report Jim. Too bad the conditions made it for a tough outing.

I've experienced the Maytag conditions quite a few times. I think Guntersville still holds the record in my record book. There were a lot of 5 pounders weighed, though none were ours.

Friday- Main lake 4-6 ft with chartreause cranks and short arm spinnerbaits produced 6 decent bass.
Saturday- same pattern for 2 hours, enough to catch two 3 1/2 lbers. Then after that you might know better than us what was happening.
Sunday- never really figured out a pattern but the lure color changed to green pumpkin.

Stingiest lake I fish.
