Just got a dedicated frog rod (Powell Max 3D 736 CEF ) for the heck of it :)

Thought about buying a reel then I realized that I have a Bass Pro PQX10HD Pro Qualifier (6.4.1 - IPT: 26 per turn). It will work for now as I am sure it's plenty fast.

Question- Should I upgrade the gear to 7.1.1 ? If so, what do I need to do to make that happen by calling Bass Pro's  rod and reel repair to order it.

Items:
Gear, Pivot and what else ?

If you guys don't think that I should or wont make a difference based on the IPT.

Call BPS Rod and Reel repair and tell them what you're doing, they'll help you out. I've done that and they've been very helpful.

26 inches per turn is pretty good. Using the same spool system and upping the gear ratio will make it pick up line faster obviously but you might be good to go. Just make sure you keep the spool full of line. Less line equals less inches per turn.

As far as upgrading, I reckon BPS parts dept would be my first stop. If you get the right person they can be very knowledgeable about their reels. Others just know how to look up a part number.

At a minimum you'll need
Drive Gear
Pinion Gear
Drag washer
Drag Plate

After trying for two days to reach out, I finally got through and ordered the parts.

It should be shipped out to me soon  ;D
