I am in the market for a new 7'(ish) MH fast action rod, mostly for throwing jigs and t-rigs w/floro. Does anybody have experience with the Tatula Elite series and the Zillion series rods? Which one seems to be more sensitive? Any recommendations for one over the other?I have the Brent Ehler 7' finesse Tat elite rod and love it,but not quite sure of the differences between these two.

Hey Kawidaddy. Welcome to the Ultimate Bass family! Pleasure to have you with us. Pull up a chair, make yourself right at home and jump in wherever you feel comfortable.

Sorry I can't be of any help since i don't use Daiwa rods myself but I'm sure someone will be along to answer your question soon.

While i have you here i would like to mention that if you would like to win some free gear from some of the great companies that sponsor our site be sure and put your name in for the New Member's Contest . Also the Weekly Contests should be starting up again soon so be sure to keep an eye out for those if you are interested.   :)

Looking forward to seeing you around the boards and to learning from what you share with us.

In the meantime, if you need any help with anything at all please don't hesitate to contact me or any other staff member.

Once again, Welcome!

I do not have experience with these rods. I do know a lot of guys in my local area that are using them and will not budge. They swear they won't use anything else. So I would assume a Tat is a good purchase. I don't know of many folks that have the zillions. If I remember correctly they are about the same price.

If you already have experience with the Elite series and are pleased with it's sensitivity then I'd stick with it.

Sorry I could be more help. We have a few daiwa users on the forum, hopefully someone will drop in and give you a better answer.

I believe the tatula elite will be the next wave of new gen rods. Good blank with AGS guides as an option. The zillion blank is supposedly better but those guides are daiwa's bread and butter. The standard elites are the workhorse rods for Daiwa now.

I fished the Ehrler (non AGS) rod for a couple months and liked it. I won't say it blew me away but it's a solid rod.
But of course there is a lot of good choices in that price range.
