I've owned several Zoom products in the past but never these, they seem to be hyped pretty good but i wanted the honest truth from guys who have fished them...do they live up to the hype? Reason i ask is Bass Pro is having a 48 hour Flash Sale with free shipping, no minimum so i was looking at some of these.
The only stupid question is the one you don't ask!

They aren't on sale...still $4.49 per bag but the shipping is free even if you just buy 1 bag.

OK. I usually pick up a few bags at Walmart if they have them. Thats the cheapest Ive seen them for like $3 a bag.

TW has them too for $3.99 and they offer that $5 Fishhound discount so that actually might be the best option.

Next time I'm in the Walmart right by my house I will have to stop by the fishing section and see what they have left.

Yep the speed worm and the Gambler burner worm are the real deal as far as I am concerned. The burner worm has caught a lot of fish for me ~c~

Another great and cheap worm, if you ever use UL gear, is the Yum Sharpshooter. I have a similar worm for heavier gear, but it hasn't been as effective.
Sharpshooter (more for UL gear) only available in 4.5" and 6" followed by the Yum Genie, only in 7.5".

Yum also makes the "Thumpin Dinger", just about identical to the ultra vibe.
All of these are listed at Yum's website for $2.99.
Some folks prefer one brand over another, I've had similar results with Zoom and Yum (which y'all know don't count for much), but I tend to steer towards Yum because I usually find them a little cheaper than Zoom.

You also have the option to go with Bitters. Bitters baits makes a slightly thicker, more durable, with a stronger tail vibe tail worm. They have the regular Bitters Vibe, and the Mega Vibe 7". Both are excellent and at $2.50 a pack its hard to beat. Only bad thing is you have to pay shipping unless you spend 100 dollars.

So its just a matter of doing the math to see what comes out cheaper.

Bass Assassin has a vibe tail looks nice, has nice colors, but is a different feel to the plastic. It just hasn't produced any fish for me yet.

Dont forget Doc Irv also has a 4" and a 5.75" Cut Tail Worm. Being a forum sponsor I think there is a 20% discount code somewhere. UB20 maybe ? Anyway with Doc you get to make choices galore on color, glitter, scent, etc.

I was actually in my local DSG today and they had some of the Yum Thumpin Dinger's so i picked up a couple of packs to try them out. I got a pack of Green Pumpkin and another pack of Green Pumpkin neon (which looks like a lighter GP with red flakes).

They do work very well BUT be prepared to go through a bag pretty quick because fish will take the tail off to easily.
Retired and loving every minute of it!

I've tried quite a few including the Bitters, but for whatever reason that Zoom U-Vibe continues to outdo them all.

It has a slightly different profile and I think that's what makes the difference.

You can fish them:

Weightless and buzzed fast on the surface so that they leave a bubble trail.

Weighted just enough to stay at the depth you want and swim them very slowly. I find 3/16 works just about right.

Regular weighted and drag or hop on the bottom.

Basically you can use them however you like to fish. Best worm ever made.

Was running low on my main vibe colors. Went to bitters and they were sold out of Watermelon Red. So I had no choice. Went to Academy and made a purchase for 4 bags of California 420 and 2 of watermelon red.

I was at my Walmart this afternoon and they didn't have any Zoom Ultra Vibe Speed Worm or very many zoom anything and they only had a couple different color GY Senkos too. My Wal Mart never did have to much fishing stuff. I was  :o to see they still have a cooler full of nightcrawlers though  ;D
