Sponsors Banners

Just a thought...But how about seeing if we can get banners from all our UB sponsors to hang at the UBCS. Even though they maybe not specifically be sponsoring the shootout, they are UB sponsors & it is an UltimateBass event.

I am sorry I don't get to things as fast as I used to. I think that is a great idea and when the time comes I will get with the sponsors and let them know that they can forward us a banner and we will proudly display it for them. I think it is better to wait until the time gets closer because you never know which ones will still be aroung...

Some may choose to do their 1 month or 6 months and not continue to participate after that.... I don't want to have to hang banners for folks that are not still supporting the site.

We plan to take a lot of pics of the event and will be on our web site. Our sponsors are helping us get there, and they deserve recognition.

Dundee, I agree with you, I don't see a reason not to display them. As far as I know they are going to be on the flyers we put out so I don't see a problem with it. Now of course it will have to go through Mike and Laurie for final approval.

I don't see why you can't display your sponsors banners but here is the thing. Your sponsors aren't sponsoring Ultimate Bass, they are sponsoring your club. I am sure that we can set it up so that they get all the recognition they can stand but I have to be careful with the way it looks for us as a website and a business as well. We have a couple of sponsors that are for the website and I have to make sure that they get the recognition that they deserve too. Like I said I don't think it will be a problem at all I just wanted to let you know where we stand with it.

Here is a suggrestion DundeeMike.........

Bring your sponsors banners, after the weigh-ins, pull out the banners, take a few pictures in front of the banners, get 'em developed and post 'em on your site when you get back.

I'm sure your sponsor is interested IN YOUR CLUB and doesn't necessarily care about the other anglers competing.

If I was the sponsor that would be fine with me.

Well to be truthful, the sponsors would be helping us get down there. They are told about the trip and the stakes that are involved. The sponsors as far as I am concerned are a part of our club, and we will be loyal to them, and give them the recognition they deserve.Not to display their banners would not be right to them. Question, If our club would happen to win the shootout, and next years shootout is in Maryland, what you are saying, since they are not an ultimate bass sponsor, we should not fly their banners for the whole tourney. In a way they are sponsoring the site, by putting up money to come to the shootout...Just my thought about this sponsor thing...

I was thinking that we would have the weigh-in in the gazebo at the launch ramp like we have in the past with the Ultimate Bass Circuit Tournaments...

Dundee I am sure that the folks that sponsored your club will have room to place their banners. You could even hang them around the cabin through out the week so that they get plenty of exposure before the tounament.

I am still on the feeling that we have to be careful. Your sponsors help you out and that is awesome but they are helping your club. The sponsors that are sponsoring the tournament are sponsoring everyone and will have had to pay or donate something to the event for everyone not just one club.

I am sure that it can all be worked out so that you can display your banners but this is something that will have to be worked on to make sure that those people that helped out the tournament itself are recognized.

Rattle no chickens in Maryland. We are very loyal to our sponsors and things just didn't work out. But we wish everyone going to the shootout the best of luck. Glad to meet you  1/2 way for a tournament.  North or South Carolina, Tenn. or Georgia?  Tight lines, Crazybass
