If the tide doesn't work out for you, don't rule out the north part of the river. At-least you can get into a little current.

Thanks Greg, I have some fish found, at least they were found on Sunday - but we all know how tempermental these rivers can be I don't worry too much about the tide. Yea, if its right it helps a lot, but I fish the 'current' conditions more than the tide. I did find some fish up the river, but the spot I'll rely on primarily is downriver and generally (read that as 'used to') doesn't get much pressure even if its a 100 plus boat tournament. Folks like to run right by at about 70mph, so even though I'll have a high starting postion I don't think I'll have to worry too much about fighting for a place to fish. Hopefully I'll pull a limit then be able to run up to a few other places I have and try to put some bigger fish into the livewell.... but, it'll be a whole new week with all new conditions so I'll play it by ear. I've relearned some things letely - kinda the hard way - about sticking with a plan , and that's exactly  what I'll do.
