I like to support Monster Tackle and other Ultimate Bass sponsors but I occasionally get Bass Pro Shops gift cards from family and friends as gifts. I'm not crazy about shopping at Bass Pro because their prices are usually higher than most competitors. I recently received a Bass Pro gift card and saved $60 off of their normal price on my purchase! Here's how to get the most bang for your buck if you receive a Bass Pro gift card. Make a list of the items that you want. Go on to Google Shopping on the internet. Do a quick search on Google Shopping for each item and write down the lowest price from a competitor. Google is super easy to use and shows the prices on a spreadsheet on one simple page. In just a few minutes you will have a list of the lowest prices. Now call Bass Pro and ask them for a price match and BINGO they will match the lowest price! I just did it and it was really easy and took no time at all. One thing when looking up your items on Google Shopping, make sure that the lowest  price competitor has a brick and mortar location somewhere and Bass Pro will match it. Examples would be Academy Sports, Dicks Sporting Goods, Wal Mart, etc.

I just did this trick again with a gift card that I got for Christmas. I stocked up on some soft plastics that I go through quickly. I called BPS and they price matched the lowest price which happened to be Academy Sports. Free ship to store since I have a local BPS and Bingo! Money saved!

This is the kicker ... have had price matches denied at BPS because there was no brick and mortar store for the price match.

Enjoying retirement in the great Pacific Northwest.  I've turned into a fair weather angler.  Why do it today when I can do it tomorrow?
