Weekend report

Fished the Advanced Auto Parts tournament on Kissimmee yesterday. We didn't do as well as we thought, only caught 4 fish for 7.40 pounds. I lost one in the 4 range that would have put us up some and my buddy lost one flippin' that was a toad.
We were supposed to fish the Gambler baits tourney this mornin', wake up and its pourin down rain. My buddy flips on the weather channel and there was 1600 lightning strikes an hour and half of em were on Lake Kissimmee. This was 3 am, we were gonna leave at 3 to get a good spot at the ramp and sleep in the boat, so we slept till 4, same thing. Then we slept till 6 said we'll be late, but if its fine we'll go. Lightning was still popping at 6 so we said it aint worth it, slept till 11 then went and fished the Winter Haven chain.

Other than that it was still a great weekend. My Costas worked great and I learned a lot and had a great time.

nice report...still, you had a good time and practiced a fair amount of self-control...good for you.

 FiveAlive  ya'll made a good choice no fish is worth getting struck by lightning for. You still got some fishing in

We were kinda ticked cause at 11 when we woke up it was beautiful, but oh well.

Plenty of time for more tourneys... dont let it get you down. Still looking for that Fl report though

I've come very close to being hit by lightning...trust me, you don't want to be that close...witnesses said the bolt struck 2 feet away from where I was standing...all my hair frizzed out and I was seeing spots for over an hour.
