Do I need to register my CT Type-R with the FAA?

Went out this weekend to break-in my CT Type-R ... wow, that think casts a country mile.  Paired it to a Veritas 7'6" MH-F rod.   It is my new frog rod.  That frog went so far I could barely see it in the air.

Am I going to have to get that thing registered with the FAA?  I fish not too far from our airport and don't want to get in trouble for not registering it appropriately.   :shocking:

If it went that far and high you might need to check with NASA lo lo

Glad to hear the good report. Mine is still in the box and waiting for time and weather to cooperate.

They are great reels! I'm going to tie on a frog to my Tat Type R and see how it does compared to my lews team lite. I know on the Lews I can get approximately 50 yards.

I spooled my CT with 65# braid many of times at Guntersville.

Yeah and the CT holds a little bit more line than my lews team lite.

Yessir.  All of my setups are.  Didn't even know or think about modding them until I joined this forum.
