What are some suggestions for cleaning the dried pond scum water-line off an aluminum boat? Presently I'm using WD-40 and a bronze wool pad. I would like to know of an easier way that would save me a tennis elbow.

Krudcutter, they sell it at most Lowes Home Depot, etc.

There products around sold by everybody. They will work and they are hard work, stick to it and the results will please you.

Old Fishermen never die, their rods just go limp.

Today I put some white vinegar on a wash cloth and it seemed to work without a lot of rubbing or pressure. To clarify -- I don't want to shine the aluminum I just want the pond scum line removed. Does anyone use white vinegar and any comments on it being harmful to the aluminum?
