I have an 89 206DL w/ 200 merc also. Under a complete overhaul/ resto right now, new everything. Awesome boat. Spending a crap ton of money on it but will be worth it in the end

You can add another out of Maryland...

Thank You for sharing them with us. Don't be afraid to tell some speed stories in this board. I'll drool and chat with you.

Reelemin, I'd love to follow a restoration thread if you'd be willing to start one and keep us posted on your progress :-*

I actually was thinking of starting one. I wish I could find the pics of when I first got it. I'll do some research and probably start a resto/rebuild thread.

I'm running a 2005 gambler 2100 with a mercury optimax xs racing 250. With me and my gear it will run 76-78 with my new prop. I had a different prop that would push me to 83 but didn't get out of the water as good.

Got pics?

The prop that hits the higher speed takes longer to get on plane?

Yes it had too much pitch and struggled out of the hole. Now It shoots out of the water loaded down and will still hit high 70's

Recently bought a 93 Intimidator from my neighbor. This is my first boat and I'm blown away at how beautiful this thing is. The paint and gel coat look like new. It has a Mercury 200 efi with a 225 Pro Max (still learning about it so i think that's right), and I got it to 72 the second time I took it out. I'm still pretty new to boating so i had to back out of it at that point. Too scary! I'm still trying to figure out how to read the built-in depth finder in the dash though. Anyone know the brand/model#?

Add me to the list!  I just got a older model 20'6" Gambler with a 225 EFI mercury!  This thing flies and it looks bad a$$ doing it!  It looks like its going 90mph while its sitting still, I really like this thing!

They are definitely beautiful rides! I've fished out of a couple and they are a pretty stable platform as well.

I owned a 1988 Gambler 203 TE?  It was black with red and silver and always got comments.  Biggest question was always, "Why do you run with the bow so high."  Favorite answer, "because I can."
During one of the Pro-Am here in Maryland the Maryland DNR had radar set up.  I ran through and it said 73.2.  On the way back up Mattawoman Creek the officer waved me over and asked me to run through it again.  I did with 73.1 as a result.  I was asked to do it one more time and it was 73.2 again.  Boat had the factory jackplate which I think was 8 inch with a Suzuki 200 Special Edition, 12 plug - six cylinder.  When it ran it was awesome.  I ended up selling the boat due to work picking up and keeping me from doing much fishing.  Damn I miss that boat. Child on the back of the boat is now 25.
