How do you secure your cover to your trailer?  In the past I used rubber Tarp strap.  One of the problems was when folding and unfolding the open end hook would hang on something.  Every cover I've bought always came with straps and I never could figure how to make it painless to unfasten and refasten the cover to the trailer.  Today I was tinkering around and came up with this idea.  I took a small snap link and attached it to the loop end of the web strap.

Items needed; Boat cover web strapping and small snap metal snap link.  I bought the snap links at WalMart.  They were (2) for .96 cents. It took (12) to do the Stratos Trailer.

When folding up the cover now all I have to do is unfasten the snap link from the web strap itself.  I then connect  the strap to the small black loop strap at the top of the cover.   The fastening clip on the cover itself stays attached there's no need to disconnect it now.  Now there is nothing hanging out and catching on anything now ~c~

I like the use of the carabiners!  ~c~ I've had several of my strap clips break over time and just bought a pack of new replacements. I've never tied to the trailer, just go under the boat. I'm going to try your method, I like it! ~c~

Thanks for the idea there DG.  I think I might check out some stores to find the strapping, buckles and carabiners to make that work on the reservoir rig.
