Has anyone had a chance to fish out of the new crestliner PT 20 or drive one? I am considering switching from my glass boat to the PT 20 I have only seem pics of them. I fish alot of skinny water and run a few rivers but also want to be able to fish main lake humps and deeper breaks I just don't want to get blown all over the place the few times I do.

If no one has any experience with the PT 20, what are your experiences with 19+ foot tin bass boats as for as wind and ride

I have a 1998 PT 185. As you probably expect, the wind blows it around pretty good. I've never had a glass bass boat but I have had glass ski boats and the difference is obvious. It helps to point your bow into the wind and a good trolling motor is crucial.
As far as the ride, well again it doesn't compare to a well made glass boat. However Iv'e been in some cheaper glass boats that were noisier and rode worse than my tin rig. All in all my tin rides pretty good. It handles the chop well enough but there is always wind when there is chop. That wind blows the spray into the boat and that is when you get a little wet.

Yeah I just can't figure out if I should transition to aluminum bass boat or not one of the series I fish is almost all long runs up shallow rivers for smallies where the aluminum rig would shine but other times there is no shallow narrow water just big wide open lakes that can get 3-4 footers if the wind is right. And I fish sturgeon bay witch can get interesting I just still want to be able to run those bigger lakes still.
