Better day on Lake Cunningham in SC

I had a lot more fun on Lake Cunningham Saturday afternoon - caught a decent sized bass on about the third cast - and he broke my line right when I bent down to get him out of the water. I didn't have any more of the chartreuse pumpkin lizard he hit, so I caught 3 bream on a little grub worm. I had to paddle a mile looking at a thunderstorm coming back, and that was a workout!

I've been putting in @ Lake Robinson instead of Cunningham. Cunningham looks more like the type of water I'm used to though. From what I've seen from the launch ramp view.

Yeah, Lake Robinson is a LOT prettier - but I have caught a few out of Cunningham. Nothing out of Robinson yet.

I picked up a couple nice size fish on Robinson, each about 24"/25" long but neither had any weight. I thought they were spotted bass but I was told there were none there. A few more of various sizes but the last 3 trips were skunks. It's still nice to get on the water though.

That's incredible! I have been skunked twice on Robinson, but that would be the catch of my life to have anything over 2 and a half pounds!

The two big fish were around near the end of the spawn, that's why I figure they weren't that heavy. The other fish ranged from 10"-15". Topwaters, shallow cranks and tiny jigs produced.
