Hey hello folks well,  new guy here names LJ I'm just getting  familiar with Maryland I moved here from New Mexico last September for work.  So I'm a blind angler so obously I don't drive. I'm living near the inner harbor area. my question is does anyone know of any good spots I can get to by using public transportation that is not cherry hill. I've already fished out at Roland lake, Patterson park and Hill Crest park I caught a few fish. I'll be going back to two of those places. I would really like to fish loch raven but you know no buses,  so if you guys know of a pond or smaller lake I can get to using the bus, trains or uber please let me know. I'm pretty excited explore I haven't been are this much water sense I left  Minnesota in 05. Oh and yes the terrain doesn't matter I hike and kayak when ever I get a chance alone just point me to the water.

LJ, welcome to Ultimatebass!

I lived in MD my entire life until last year when I relocated to South Carolina. Unfortunately, there's not a lot of bass fishing close to public transportation from the inner harbor area other than what you've already discovered. There is access to water at Canton Park off of Boston Street, and you might catch some fish there. I know of some guides who fish along that area for Striped bass, which can certainly be fun to catch. There's also some sizable catfish in there as well.

I don't blame you for not wanting to go to the Cherry Hill area to fish. That's not a nice area for those of us who can see. Although, I did occasionally fish from shore in the Patapsco River by the hospital on South Hanover Street across from Cherry Hill. Never really had any major problems with anyone there. Never caught any bass there either, but plenty of catfish and sometimes other fish as well. But, it's still not a place I would recommend that you go to alone.

Wish I could give you better information, but most of the bass fishing I did in MD was either in the Susquehanna River area, or in the tidal rivers of the Eastern Shore.
