Water when the drain plug is removed

Hi, everyone - my apologies if this topic is elsewhere. I couldn't find it...

I have a 2022 Pro 190TX. The first several times I had the boat on the water, when I took the boat out of the water and pulled the drain plug, there was no water that drained.

Now, when I remove the drain plug I have some water draining. Granted, it's not very much - maybe a cup at the most but I wouldn't expect to have any water draining.

Notes:
1. The live well was plugged and had no water in it.
2. The "cooler" was dry - no water.
3. Both of the storage compartments behind the seats were dry.
4. The bilge is dry - both when on the water and when I come off the water.

When I put the boat in the water today, I stopped on the ramp with the drain plug out (so the boat was at a good angle to drain any water) and I made sure there was no water coming from the drain plug hole before I put the plug in. I was on the lake for roughly 3 hours and when I pulled the plug, I got the now usual cup of water or so.

Any ideas where this is coming from? I'm at a loss - I was thinking maybe the drain plug wasn't sealing all the way.

I would say a cup or isn't bad at all. My tracker would always end up with some water in it and thats after I spent days trouble shooting it lol.

Have you taken any water in when slowing down after running? I know trackers sit really Low in the back and any water over the gunnel would seep thru the wood and down.

You could plug the livewell and recirc holes from the back and see if it stops. Or check the tightness of those fittings.

The bilge drain on my boat was really low on the aft port side so in theory especially when slowing down it gets water back in the tube and maybe a clamp inside isn't tight.

I haven't crawled all over the 2022 versions so some things are probably different than my 2009. I surely would hope so anyways!

All in all I think you're pretty good so far. Again welcome to UB and enjoy your Tracker! I sure enjoyed mine for over 10 years!

I was gonna say splashover when you come to a quick stop on the water.  That soaking of the rear foot of carpet ultimately works its way into the bilge.  That small amount of water is insignificant after 3 hours on the water, especially if you were doing quick stops that allowed a splashover the stern....
