2003 tr20,, how does shifter handle come off , mine has 3 screws and 2 bolts,do i take both out,,trying to check wire to see if has power

push button in and hold in the middle of the shifter and put in reverse then pop the button out with a small screw driver and there is an 18mm /  11/16 nut behind that button you popped out.
