This is from the Bass Cat Forum......

Not sure how many of you know but Tom Moore is currently in the hospital in Ukraine. Earlier this week he had felt some tingling and numbness and drove himself to the hospital. Results had shown he had a mini stroke. He is still currently in the hospital for observations. He is hoping to be released in a couple days. I've been staying in contact with him by text. He said the hospitals in Ukraine are nothing like the USA. Please keep Tom in your thoughts. I've told him it's time for him to slow down and rethink his  priorities. His overseas business travels has been very excessive.

Tom is the one that got the BCB threads kick started here on UB......Please include him in your prayers and hope for a complete and speedy recovery...

The hospitals in Ukraine are not up to US  standards but far better than other countries in that area. I haven't talked to Tom since he asked me questions about the area he would be working in. Please give him my regards and I'll send a prayer his way.

Tom made a reply on the BCB owners forum. Hope nobody minds if I pass it on...

QuoteEveryone:  All is good and doing much, much better.   I'm out of the hospital as of today and now staying two days at a U.S. level hotel before my flight out on Wednesday.    As Gary shared I had a life changing event last Wednesday.  Gary is so on point with his comments and I can't thank him enough for keeping in touch with me.   Gary,  I am beyond humble with your follow up !!!!!   My family has been worried but has been supported by our church.  My son took off work to stay with my wife this week to keep things together.

God Bless the U.S.A.
No matter how bad we think our medical system works or is evolving  I have a new appreciation now.  Don't get me wrong this is not a political statement.

I went into the hospital last Wednesday for a mini stroke.  The episode had all the classic signs and I caught it very, very early.  No brain damage so I am lucky!!!!  My recovery is absolutely on track.  When I return I'm regrouping physically and unplugging from work  for three plus weeks.  No computers at all!!!!!!!!

Ukraine experience:

My sales team in Kharkiv was god sent.  I don't speak Russian and the docs and nurses don't speak english.  My sales team were my interpreters for the whole time I was in the hospital.  They even slept in my private room with me the first critical 48 hours just to be there if I needed anything.  The Ukrainians are awesome people before my event and went way beyond supporting me.  Trust me average people are the same in most places on our earth.  I really believe that now.   Truly amazing people who love americans.

Everything is politically motivated with money passing of hands to get adequate medical treatment.   It's their system over there.  I had a VIP room and it was substandard and unsterile by a significant margin vs U.S. Hospitals.  However, the doctors care was amazing.  Although,  equipment is behind the curve with technology.   Here is a weird twist.   Weekends they lock down the hospital grounds like a prison and you physically can't get out because the primary doctors are not there on weekends.   Crazy wild experience but at least I had a private room.

I fly back out to the states on Wednesday and am having all my medical records translated for my neurologist upon my return.

My health:

I have to make big changes in my lifestyle:  I just pushed things way to hard and was not getting enough sleep.  Everyone, sleep is so important.  Rick,  please hear me loud a clear.  Sleep is important.   It was a major contributor to my stress.  I now know that.

All said I'm a lucky man, a blessed man to have so many prayers sent 6,000 miles away.

Thank you all!  I am deeply touched and still dream of a Caracal someday.  That will happen!!!!

Thank you CD4TH for passing that along.  We are all relieved the Tom is back on his feet and will have them on US soil for the rest of his recovery.  I can't wait to see the colors he puts on his Caracal....Tom has always put some nice boats together!
